Bull Gores A Dude To Death On Live TV In Spain

(CNN)- A professional bullfighter was gored to death by a bull during a competition on live television in Spain over the weekend. Victor Barrio, 29, was killed in Teruel, in the eastern Aragon region. Plaza de Las Ventas bullring, where he’s worked as a bullfighter fox six years, announced his death in a statement Saturday. It said a moment of silence will be held in his honor.

First things first, that video wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna be. I expected to see the dude’s lungs and intestines and heart scattered all over the place. Just blood and guts covering the floor and ceiling. Remember when Chad from The Bachelorette threatened to rip apart everybody’s bodies and throw their torsos into the pool? I thought that was gonna happen. So, in a way, the guy got really lucky minus the dying part. Nobody wants to have their death filmed but that right there is about as good as it gets. Second, it’s hard to feel bad for this guy. I know that sounds cruel but it’s true. It’s like feeling bad for people who die jumping out of a plane or people who die bungee jumping. Tempt fate enough times and it’s eventually going to go really wrong. For anyone to say, “What a horrible, unexpected tragedy” is crazy. All bull fighting is is a guy taunting a giant angry animal like, “Bet you can’t touch me! Bet you can’t touch me!” Eventually that fucking bull is gonna touch him and kill him. That’s just math.
