4 Wanted In Pike County Massacre
“More than a year since the mass homicide, justice may finally come in the case of the Rhoden Family Massacre, in which eight members of the Rhoden Family were murdered execution-style in their homes in Pike County. The Ohio Attorney General’s Office (AGO) released information Monday asking for help finding a family of potential suspects.
Investigators in the murder investigation are asking for information regarding the following persons:
George “Billy” Wagner, III, 46
Angela Wagner, 46
George Wagner IV, 25
Edward “Jake” Wagner, 24.
AGO Spokesperson Dan Tierney declined to give any additional information. He also refused to say if the four are suspects or are just wanted for questioning.
“Local media can make their own assumptions,” he stated. “We are not commenting further at this time.”
The AGO did stress that investigators are interested in receiving information regarding any interactions with the Wagners, including conversations, dealings, or transactions that the public may have had with these individuals, which could be personal, business, or otherwise. Specifically, information could include, but is not limited to information regarding vehicles, firearms and ammunition.
Those listed are formerly residents of Peterson Road in Peebles and are currently believed by authorities to be residing in Alaska.
Anyone with information is asked to call the BCI tip line at 1-855-BCI-OHIO (224-6446) or the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at 740-947-2111. Any information provided will remain confidential, and a $10,000 reward is still in effect.”
Remember the Pike County Massacre? That one time when 8 members of the Rhoden family were found murdered execution style in eastern Ohio? It was like the biggest story in America for about two weeks until it appeared that the killer or killers just sort of vanished into thin air. Fast forward a year and a half, and the Pike County Massacre has just sort of faded from memory. Not a whole lot has seemed to have happened since the initial investigation, probably by design, as law enforcement has been very hush hush about any developments as to try and not tip their hand. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that this case has reached Zodiac Killer levels of mystery, but the fact that someone(s) can murder 8 people in 4 different locations at the same time and disappear like a fart in the wind despite all the technology and techniques crime fighters have at their disposal in 2017 is downright mind boggling. Fortunately, it looks like law enforcement is closing in.

Conventional wisdom would tell you that a family of four from rural Ohio are nothing more than a bunch of good ‘ol country folks looking to get by with what little they have, but to that I say just look at the Manson family. At the very least go back and watch The Texas Chainsaw Massacre or The Strangers. All families from humble beginnings, all murderous psychopaths, all true stories – I think.
Also if you want to play the family angle, the youngest Wagner, Jake, has a child with Hanna Rhoden, who unfortunately was one of the victims of last years shooting.

The two had a daughter together, who is now believed to be in Jake’s custody. “
For those of you following along on your intricate evidence boards, that provides a direct connection between the Wagner and the Rhoden families, and everyone knows you’re about 75% more likely to be murdered by someone you know than by a complete stranger.
Furthermore, the fact that these dudes are just hanging out on the other side of the map seems preeetttaaaayyyy suspicious to me. I lack the competence and testicular fortitude to pursue a life of crime, but if I didn’t, Alaska seems like a pretty good spot to hide if you’re looking to get away from, ya know, the police or anyone looking to tie up loose ends.
I know our country’s justice system is set up to assume innocence until proven guilty, but I’ve seen enough episodes of The First 48 to know that all things considered here, the scale of justice is beginning to tip and it’s not in the Wagner’s favor.
Who knows where this lead will go, especially when you consider that just about every other lead the cops have had so far turns out to be a dead end, but in all seriousness, shout out to anyone involved in bringing the Pike County killers to justice. Law enforcement often gets a bad rap these days, and sometimes rightfully so, but I think everyone can agree that whoever is responsible for these heinous crimes needs to be buried under the jail.
