Hollywood Reporter – Breaking Bad may be over, but fans haven’t necessarily seen the last of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Creator Vince Gilligan, who is hard at work on the Saul Goodman prequel spinoff tentatively titledBetter Call Saul, says anything is possible when it comes to Breaking Bad characters popping up for cameos. “The sky’s the limit with a prequel,” Gilligan tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Everybody who’s now deceased in the Breaking Bad world is obviously still alive. You never know who might turn up and when and where.” Gilligan hasn’t nailed down the details, but saysBryan Cranston (Walter White) and Aaron Paul(Jesse Pinkman) have expressed interest in doing cameos, while Saul’s former private detective, Mike (played by Jonathan Banks inBreaking Bad), could potentially have a substantial role. “I could definitely see a version of this where Mike Ehrmantraut is an important part of this series,” Gilligan says.

Mike fucking Ehrmantruat. If there’s one guy who deserved a spinoff, it was Mike. I understand that Better Call Saul is a comedy and thats probably the best move because it will be apples and oranges in comparison to Breaking Bad, but goddamit I’d absolutely watch a series featuring Mike. A series chronicling him from the time he was a Philadelphia police officer to the head of security for Gus Fring would be spectacular. Watch a good cop…Break Bad?? Where the fuck do I sign! It could be the best dirty cop saga ever. I’ll still watch Better Call Saul, but a series called No Half Measures featuring Jonathan Banks would be a fucking smash hit.
