Tonight's The Night The Blueshirts Break Out
The Rangers did what they had to do in Game 1 – steal a road contest and take home-ice away. That doesn’t mean they should be satisfied. They’re staring a lot of streaks in the face that I’ve mentioned plenty of times before. 0-7 in Game 2’s. 0-12 in games played with a series lead. 0-25 with the man advantage. Rick Nash goalless in his last 11 playoff appearances. All of these have gotta be broken at some point – it’s simple math or something. If tonight’s the night, the Blueshirts will put all the pressure on the underachieving Pens & be in prime position for a shot at representing the East. With how they’ve survived so far on mostly secondary scoring, an appearance from the Rangers top guns would get it done. LET’S GO RANGERS!
