Wizards stayed in this game and stayed in this game but could never get the run they needed. It ended up being a 16 point loss but midway through the 4th they had it down to a one possession game. But without Wall, and with Nene having no idea how to play basketball, they let the game run away from them. Nene, in a word, has been AWFUL this series. Wittman won’t take him out of the game, but it’s clear something is wrong with him. He has no clue how to play basketball right now. Wondering what it will take to get Humphries in the game if tonight couldn’t do the trick. Also without Wall the Wizards resorted back to a lot of mid-range/long 2’s. The worst shot in basketball. And the Wizards weren’t hitting any of them. Despite not having their best player, the Wizards didn’t play a bad game, but Atlanta was the better team. The good news is game 3 isn’t until Saturday so Wall will have time to heal up.
