There Was A Good Ol' Fashioned QJMHL Shorthanded Goalie Goal Over The Weekend

Very few things in sports get me going like a goalie goal. So few, so far between, and never not awesome. Everything has to line up perfectly- the players have to be out of the way, the goalie has to have the wherewithal to shoot his shot, and then he needs to absolutely nail it too. The anticipation as the puck is sliding down the ice is one of the best “hold you breath” 10 seconds you can get. More anxiety than a penalty shot and it’s not even close. Because everyone has seen a penalty shot, nobody has seen a goalie goal. Add in that this one was shorthanded and it is just that much better. Goalie goals, never ever ever will get old.
