The Richmond Zoo Has a Cheetah Cub and a Puppy That Are BFFs

NBC 12 - It sounds like a Disney movie, but the friendship between a cheetah cub and a puppy is real and happening at the Metro Richmond Zoo! Caretakers say they had to separate Kumbali from his family at two weeks old because he was losing weight – his mom, Khari, was not producing enough milk for her three cubs. They were able to save Kumbali by hand-raising the cub, but reintroducing him to the family at this point was impossible. “The mother would most likely consider him a threat,” according to the Metro Richmond Zoo. Male cheetahs are social animals, and now that he was without his family, the zoo needed to find a companion for Kumbali. They found Kago. A 10-week-old puppy rescued by The Art of Paws from a high-kill shelter, Kago quickly befriended Kumbali.

That’s just the stuff dreams are made of. These little Todd and Copper ass motherfuckers, just skipping around the zoo, having the time of their life.

Getting that support from your bud when you had too much to drink the night before and just want some damn bacon jalepeno mac and cheese:

And when all you want to do is sniff your best friends’ butthole:

I love these guys. Kumbali and Kago holding it down big time for the Richmond Zoo.
