ESPN - Washington Redskins rookie linebacker Su’a Cravens created a buzz with his play in the first four games, making big plays. He caused another buzz on social media Tuesday, leading to questions about the severity of the concussion he suffered in Week 4.

Cravens posted a video on Snapchat in which he said the concussion impaired his vision and led to him having to get glasses.

“Due to my concussion, my eyes have lost the memory to keep track of moving objects, so I have to wear these for the rest of my life,” Cravens said in the video.

Cravens remains in the concussion protocol and was scheduled to visit an independent doctor Tuesday. Redskins coach Jay Gruden will address the situation Wednesday at his regularly scheduled news conference.

So straight up his concussion is so bad he has to wear glasses on and off the field for the rest of his life? That certainly can’t be good. Is he going to wear Harry Potter glasses under his helmet? I hope the answer to that question is a resounding yes, absolutely yes. I mean sure, if his brain turned to mush so badly that his eyes legit packed up and moved out, maybe he shouldn’t be playing football at all, but that’s neither here nor there. You can’t stop playing a game just because something silly like your eyes losing their ability to function. You just slap on some spectacles and get back to business. We have 5 senses for a reason, can’t let losing one of them deter you from playing a game that will turn your brain to scrambled eggs and your eyes to Mr. Magoo’s. Looking forward to seeing Su’a make a full recovery from this concussion and getting back out on the field in his spiffy new glasses.
