My Favorite NFL Tradition Is Our Annual Titans Vs Jaguars Thursday Night Game

You can say a lot of things about the NFL, but don’t tell me they don’t have a sense of humor. Putting the Titans vs Jaguars on Thursday Night Football for the 3rd year in a row deserves a round of applause. These games have taken on a life of their own in the “so bad it’s good” type of way that you have to respect the NFL for going back to the well for a 3rd straight season.

In 2014 it was a huge game, as Blake Bortles went 13/26 passing, catapulting the Jags to a 3-12 record, while dropping the Titans to 2-13. Last year was the beautiful “color rush” game where people whined about the Jags jerseys and two-tone helmet for far too long before the Jags won again, moving to 4-6 while dropping the Titans to 2-8.

And now we get to see these two teams go to war for a 3rd time on Thursday Night Football, week 8 in Tennessee. This game has become more important than the Thanksgiving games. All eyes will be tuned in to see if the Jaguars win the for a third straight time or if Marriota pulls off a miracle in the powder blue jerseys. It’s all I’ll be thinking about for the next 6 months, that’s for sure.
