Man Channeling His Inner-Clint Eastwood Was Arrested For Telling Bicyclists to "stay off his road and to get out of his neighborhood"

Source - A violent confrontation between a Conroe motorist and a group of bicyclists was captured on video Thursday, and the man involved now faces aggravated assault and criminal mischief charges. Steve Schoger, a Woodlands Cycling Club member, was out on his bike along with a group of other riders when Sherman Clark, 74, allegedly confronted them in his pickup truck at the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and Old Conroe Road. The group has ridden in the area for the past 10 years or so, and Schoger said he hasn’t seen anything quite like Clark’s aggression. Schoger said he and the other riders were on the right side of the road, and Clark drove up from behind and passed the group on the left when he began yelling at them. “He told us to stay off his road and to get out of his neighborhood,” Schoger said. Schoger said Clark ran one cyclist off the road then pulled in front of the group and slammed on his breaks, causing another cyclist to hit the back of the truck. “He ended up breaking his wrist and hurting his shoulder and knee,” Schoger said of one of the cyclists. Clark then allegedly pulled his truck over and pulled out a baseball bat. In a video taken at the scene, Clark can be seen holding the bat. Moments later, he gets back in his truck and drives directly over one of their $5,000 bikes.

It’s the always fun “Entitled bicyclist” vs “Angry guy in a big truck”. An unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. A fight as old as the universe. Seems like this battle ended in a draw. Angry guy roughed up the entitled bicyclists a bit, but ended up getting arrested for it. So what if someone peed in his prune juice that morning, he’s still a hero in my book. Gets out of his truck with a baseball bat and lets them know their offense was riding their girly ass bikes on his road. Good for Walt Kowalski for sticking up for angries everywhere vs those banana seat loving assholes.
