Great team win by the Wizards. Beal was off all night and Wall wasn’t excellent. But the other guys stepped up, especially Nene. Fucking fantastic game by the Big Brazilian. He knocked down his open shots that the Bulls so kindly gave him all night and was stifling on defense. Noah had 10/10 while Nene had 24/8 and Gortat 15/13, including 5 offensive boards. All that “team defense” I heard so much about didn’t slow down Nene or Andre Miller, who played tons of minutes late and played extremely well. Bringing him in to back up Wall might be the best move GM Ernie Grunfeld has ever made.

Any game where Wall and Beal shoot for a combined 7 for 25 and the Wiz still win is fucking fantastic.

If I have to point out a problem, it’s that the Wiz are 7 deep. No depth is not good. It’s Miller and Webster off the bench, and then basically nothing. Booker can put in decent minutes in the paint, but that’s where the bench ends.

Regardless, feels great for the Wiz to win a playoff game for the first time since 2008. 3 more then off to the second round. Let’s fucking go.
