Is This Actually The Worst Promotion in the History of Organized Sports?

I thought this was a joke. You’re trying to get people to go to a chick basketball game by offering…orange juice? At the University of Maryland. Have they lost their minds? Show me ONE student who will trek to Comcast to see a girl’s basketball game because of the promise of free orange juice and I’ll show you someone I want dead yesterday. It’s hard to even think that someone gets paid to come up with this idea, and then other people get paid to approve it.

Someone on Twitter asked me yesterday if we are currently going through the lowest point in DC athletics I can remember, and I think this is the nail in the coffin. Yes, yes it is.
