I Hate When a Shark Decides It Can Swim In The Water On My Beach Front Home

NBC - A scary sight near some Bonita Beach condo units — sharks have been spotted swimming close to where people live. Residents now want the city to step in to help.  It’s a piece of paradise tucked away in Bonita Springs.  Residents moved to the north end of Hickory Island to enjoy the beautiful views and the peacefulness.  But, an unexpected guest now has many residents very concerned.  An 8 to 9 foot bull shark has been swimming very close to the condos that line Hickory Boulevard.  Residents say it’s not the first time. Neighbors say people are chumming — throwing bait into the water — which is causing the sharks to return.  Now, they are asking the city to get involved and prohibit fishing as well as designate the area as a swimming only area.

There is nothing worse than buying a beach front condo and having sharks invade your water. You just want to go swimming in your private ocean and next thing you know Jaws is nipping at your toes. No fucking thank you. Anything short of dropping a nuke in the water and killing every shark in a 10 mile radius isn’t enough. I’m all about marine life until they get up in my business. Like when you go to the beach and there’s jellyfish all floating in your area, it’s the worst. We’re at the top of the foodchain, we shouldn’t have to adjust our lives for stupid jellyfish. If I was the owner of one of those shark-infested condos, I’d be outraged. That’s MY water, not the shark’s. Sharks have no business swimming in my ocean. They need to get a clue and swim somewhere else.
