Eastern Washington's Coach Guaranteed a Win Over Georgetown (Who Has Lost To a Double-Digit Seed 5 Straight Appearances)

DC Sports Bog - The Hoyas are looking to avoid losing to a double-digit seed in the NCAA tournament for their sixth consecutive appearance, a streak that began in 2008 with a loss to — that’s right — Stephen Curry and Davidson. Eastern Washington will be a trendy upset pick in NCAA tournament pools this week and Eagles coach Jim Hayford is certainly confident in his team. “We’re going to win, talk again, Jim,” he said Wednesday at the end of aninterview with CBS Sports Radio’s Jim Rome. (“If you’re still in a pool you can fill it in, you want to put the Eagles in,” Hayford said earlier in the segment.)

**Goes back and changes every bracket to Georgetown losing**

Kind of hard to bet against a guarantee. Never once in the history of sports has a coach been wrong when guaranteeing a win. And I hate it because I support Georgetown. Great bar scene. But everything is tilted against them. They stink in the tournament. Stink on ice. They were the 2 seed a couple years back and lost to the 15. They were the 3 in 2010 and lost to the 14. They’ve been the 6 and lost to the 11. And this year they are a very overseeded 4 and are up against the 13. So if you still are picking your brackets and are looking for the trendy upset, this one might be it.

**Goes back and picks Georgetown again because I just double reverse jinxed it**
