Daniel Bryan To Announce His Retirement From Wrestling Tonight On Raw

This SUCKS. Like…really, really sucks. Daniel Bryan gave wrestling everything and then more. He was doing spots for 25 bucks a night in high school gyms that probably took years off the end of his life just because he loved doing it. Eventually he worked his way up to WWE by being the best wrestler on the planet. Plain and simple- despite not having the prototypical WWE size, strength, or look, he became the top dog in WWE simply by being the best. And they still, not story-line, but in real life, tried to hold Bryan back. Even when he was far and away the most popular guy in WWE, they still tried to hold him back. But he was too good, connected with the audience better than anyone since the Rock and Stone Cold, and eventually this happened:

But too many injuries and the WWE’s refusal to clear him despite multiple doctors giving him the go-ahead to get back into the ring has led to this.

Unless.

Unless of course this is a work. And he’s not retiring at all. And he has been cleared by WWE. And will be wrestling AJ Styles at Wrestlemania.

It’s really hard to tell if this is a work or not. I want to say he’s not retiring and this is a swerve. He has been cleared and all is good. But on the other hand we’ve been hearing word that WWE will never clear him for months now.

And that’s the beauty of wrestling. Now we have to watch tonight to find out. Vince, you genius.

PS: One of the best pops of the last 5 years. Dude was so over it was incredible. Nobody gets even close to that pop right now. Not even remotely close.
