Capitals Need To Get Their Shit Together

Unlike Tom Wilson, the Caps have hardly put up a fight this year. After getting shut out by the Rangers last night, they have dropped to 2-5, and it has been pretty ugly the entire way.

I can’t comprehend why Oates has stuck with the same non-producing lines. Martin Erat, the same Martin Erat the Capitals traded their 2012 first round pick Filip Forsberg for, saw 6:20 of ice time. What a fucking embarrassment of a trade by McPhee. He’s made some really good ones, but it appears he really shit the bed with Erat. And why is Marcus Johansson still playing first line minutes with Ovi? He has three shots through 7 games. He just won’t shoot the fucking puck. It’s like how Rick Ankiel couldn’t throw the ball over the plate, MoJo can’t shoot the puck. It shouldn’t take 7 games to move the lines around to generate production.

Last night the Caps were outshot, outhit, out hustled, and overmatched by what’s been a crappy Rangers team. Adam Oates has until Saturday to figure it out. Ovi has been playing out of his mind and the team is much too talented for them to be playing such abortions of games. A few more games of this bullshit and its gonna get real ugly, real quick.
