Look at this guy just having the time of his life out there. Sure they lost the game, but you can’t win them all. Still in first place, and Bryce is still doing whatever he wants out there. I think last night he was just happy he got a pitch to swing at. At this point the responsible thing to do is just pitch around him. In 64 at bats he was 21 hits, and 15 are extra-base hits. The Phills walked him 3 times last night and it worked.

WaPo - After his team’s 4-3 win over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night, Phillies Manager Pete Mackanin outlined his new plan for handling his division rival Bryce Harper. “I’m going to walk him every time we face him this series,” MacKanin said. “I’m kidding. That’s a joke.” No one would blame him if he were serious. Last weekend, in Philadelphia, the Phillies pitched to Harper with no one on in the top of the 10th inning, and Harper hit a go-ahead homer off Jeanmar Gomez.

If Bryce stays healthy there’s no reason he shouldn’t repeat as MVP, and he will be in the triple crown hunt until he’s walked too many times that he can’t keep the RBI count up. And he’ll continue pimping HRs, dancing on first, taking selfies with fans, having a bromance with Dusty, and all around making baseball fun again.
