Such a Bryce Harper way to go down. Gotta feel for him. He gets benched after not hustling, then a week later he tears every ligament in his thumb stretching a double into a triple. The guy can benchpress the moon and is in top shape, then injures his thumb. Missed a bunch of games last year with a bad knee, and now is on the shelf with a bad thumb. Just insane bad luck for a 21 year old with a ceiling as high as can be. And it’s a big loss for the Nats in a season already riddled by injuries. The good news is he’s only missing two months and will be back running into walls in no time. If the rest of the Nats bats can wake up and do work like they are expected, they should still be in fine position when he returns.
