Brock Lesnar Busted Randy Orton Open MMA Style, Causing Orton To Get 10 Staples In His Head

SummerSlam was last night, and it was long and eventful, which I’ll have more about later. But the biggest story of the night was the main event, which was the much anticipated Brock Lesnar vs Randy Orton match. My bold prediction was Orton would beat Lesnar, maybe with some outside interference from Goldberg, and boy was I dead ass wrong. Not only did Lesnar beat the shit out of Orton, he actually beat the ever living shit out of him. He went full UFC in the ring, throwing elbows until Orton bled and they had to stop the match.

You can hear a really good sound of his skull cracking here:

A lot of people on the Internet seem to think Lesnar went off-script. That he gives so little of a fuck he was just going to send a message or whatever. And to that I laugh. I don’t think Lesnar has any reason to go off-script and beat up Orton like that. In my opinion, it was just a brutally booked match. A match where Lesnar continued his dominance, this time over the “legend killer” himself. Allowing Lesnar to go full-MMA was an interesting move, and having him kick out of multiple RKOs was an interesting choice. It really let the world know they aren’t letting up on the Lesnar is bigger and better than everyone bookings. The Internet is right about one thing- they probably want us to begin to hate Lesnar so much that we’ll cheer when Reigns eventually beats him at the Rumble or Wrestlemania.

It was a weird way to end the match- it definitely made Orton and his RKO look weak, but it’s nothing that they haven’t done with others, most notably Cena. Remember when Cena got in the ring with Lesnar and took like 100 suplexes and got 0 offense in? And similar happened in the rematch? So it’s not crazy for Lesnar to TKO Orton, it was just unexpected.
