Braden Holtby Had Himself a Decent Enough Month/Vezina Worthy Season So Far

Somehow Johnny Hockey snuck in and nabbed the first star of the month, but maybe that’s because not losing a game in regulation for an entire month is overrated. 9-0-1, .947 save %, and the numbers don’t even speak for how well he played. Holts has been magnificent, making outrageous saves and standing on his head the entire time. Holtby is 24-4-2 on the season, absolute video game numbers. He’s on his way to a Vezina, for sure:

Caps are still sitting pretty in first place in the East, and it’s not even close right now:

Ovi is heating up right now too, with goals in 3 of his last 4 games to give him 21 on the season. A bit slower than his normal pace, but when Oshie and Kuz are racking up the goals too, his tallies are going to take a slight hit.

Big 3 game roadie on the horizon at Boston and both New York teams. These games are always fun and physical, should be great tests as we get closer to the playoffs.
