Big Night As The Terps, Caps, And Wizards All Picked Up Big Wins

Hey I get it, it’s only regular season. Believe me, enough people let me know if I ever slip up and get remotely happy at a regular season win. It is the most annoying thing going on right now- if your team wins a regular season game, the fans of the other team hound you with “stop celebrating a regular season win” or “yea but your teams still suck and won’t win in the playoffs” or a myriad of other lame tweets or ridiculous excuses. There used to be a time when regular season wins did matter, and I’m bringing it back because I thought this was Barstool SPORTS, amiright?
 
 

First the Terps pulled out the win over the feisty Rutgers squad, who were fresh off a win over Wisconsin. That win puts the Terps atop the Big 10. I’m pretty sure that’s not the worst place to be. Dez Wells continued to put his body on the line and Melo continued to show why he’s a top not just freshman, but player in college ball. The Terps now have a rematch vs Michigan State coming up on Saturday. Looking forward to sweeping Izzo after winning that double OT game in East Lansing a couple weeks ago.

Then the Wizards beat the Bulls in Chicago. Impressive win, digging deep in the second half after playing Tuesday night and beating the defending champion Spurs. John Wall once again got the better of Derrick Rose. Yes, Rose put up buckets. He’s going to score. But Wall had 21 and 9 and was a +15, compared to Rose’s 5 dimes and -18. Both are awesome to watch, and it’s going to be a great rivalry for years to come (the years Rose doesn’t sit out).

 

 
 

And then the Caps won something like their 304th game in a row, shutting out the Flyers 1-0. Another great game from Holtby, as well as the defense who allowed the Flyers only 21 shots on net. Beautiful goal from Chim. And Matt Niskanen, well he killed a man.

 

 
 

Also Holtby might be good, idk.
 


 
 

Feels good to see the DC teams killing it. Feels real good. And now that the the Skins have a real GM I’m getting very worried about traffic because of the number of parades that will be going down Pennsylvania Avenue in the near future.
 
 
 

PS: Glad someone was smart enough to listen. Terps didn’t cover but -14 was an insane line to begin with so you only have yourself to blame if you bet that. And I assume that “FREE” means now he’s really rich.
