Andre Burakovsky Has Been Killing It With Points in 9 of His Last 10 Games

I cannot believe Andre Burakovsky just turned 21 today. That legit isn’t even fair. Kuznetsov is 23, Bura is 21, Ovi, Backstrom, Carlson, and Alzner are all in their prime, and Holtby might have not even entered his prime yet.

But the story here is about how Bura is only just 21. After a slow start this season, he now has points in 9 of his last 10 games, including 4 multi-point games.

He’s also extremely disciplined for a young speedster, as he only has 6 PIMs in 48 games this season. 6!

It’s not Ovi that makes this team so dangerous. Everyone knows about Ovi. Everyone game plans around Ovi. It’s the secondary scoring that is so exciting and so deadly. The Caps now have 8 guys in double-digit scoring. By the end of the season there will be at least 5 with 20+ goals, which is outrageous for how down scoring is.

If Burakovski keeps it up, he’s just another dangerous piece this Caps team has for other teams to be quivering in their skates about.

Also, Braden Holtby’s 2.06 GAA, .929 Save %, and 33 wins don’t hurt either. Hard to really game plan against that.

The Caps have a rather tough schedule ahead that will have some very intense games, probably their hardest stretch of the season to this point:
