OddsShark Presents Glenny & The Bets

My word was last week a whirlwind of emotions! After the first round of the tourney I felt like Jimmy the Greek should be shining my shoes after all those overs. The unders came back with vengeance in the round of 32. Sad! Minor setback for a major comback. Now that all of our brackets are busted and all our money is gone, it’s time for the 2nd half of the Sweet Sixteen!

Let’s see what that 2nd floor loser Matt’s working with this week

2-6 for me last Friday to take this here blog record to 33-23. Wish I could say it was all up from there… That I turned it around and had a glorious tourney run. I didn’t. I stink. I’m like 10-25 on tourney games. Lightswitch Lou’s fired me like 3 times. Last night in the Sweet Sixteen I went 0-3-1. Huge push though, for like an hour I was so back. Having fun out there again at least. Pick your spots…

• Butler vs UNC -7.5 
  • The Heels could have—and should have—straight boat raced Arkansas, but sloppy turnovers kept them within the number (-11.5). Butler saw a discounted line thanks to Middle Tenn St hype and ran right through it. UNC is capable of the boat race again here, but I think the turnover problem will carry over and this will end up a barn-burner.  So fuckin fade-able but here ya go. Pick: Butler +7.5

• South Carolina vs Baylor -3.5 
  • No idea where this Gamecocks team came from. You basically looked away for a second and Frank Martin did some Pentecostal shit to turn all his players into the opposite of what they were in the end of the regular season. Terrible foul shooters nailing every foul shot and shit. Might have something to do with them playing virtual home games in the first two rounds.  Actually fade me. Pick: South Carolina +3.5

• UCLA vs Kentucky +1.5 
  • This is my last stand. The hill I die on. Double or nothing. Come kill me Calipari, I’m right here. Pick: UCLA Moneyline

• Wisconsin vs. Florida 
  • This is one of those weird ones where Florida just seems super sharp for no reason other than the fact that the sharps said so. Or maybe it’s sharp because they held Virginia to 39 points. Don’t care. Pick: Wisconsin +1.5

• Butler/UNC Over 152.5
  • I’ll be honest…This is the only game that’s jumping out at me on tonight’s Sweet Sixteen slate. Baylor and South Carolina kinda scare even though SC put up God only knows how much on Duke last week. Wisco overs are just scary. Might as well just light your dinero on fire. Kentucky/UCLA is giving me a tad of hope as intimidating as it is though…
• Kentucky/UCLA Over 169
  • I’ll shoot you guys straight- I am SHOOK at this. 169 is so fucking high. That’s asking for a game in the 80’s and that is simply scary. Gonna need some help from our friends Bam and Lonzo for this one. It’s a night game, perfect pregame special…will be praying for a lot of points.
• Oregon/Kansas Over 158
  • Now I LOVE this game. KU can flatout score and we all know, despite last night, that the Ducks can throw the ball in the hoop. Should be a fun game all around to make it to the final four.
