When Northwestern and Illinois square up in the last College Football Saturday of the year to determine bowl eligibility and a .500 season I have to make a mortal lock pick. Tradition, honor, 2 powerhouse football schools, a clash of the titans in Evanston. The fact that this isn’t the game of the week is baffling but I guess that’s just SEC bias for you. Fuck Ohio State and Michigan, Auburn and Alabama, give me punts and sacks, a bunch of 3 yard runs and 5 yard outs, that’s real football. Illinois +7.5 is too easy, this has field goal game written all over it. Lock it up and throw away the key and enjoy what some are saying is the game of the century.
