Stephanie Jaegers went to the hospital with stomach pain she thought was probably caused by kidney stones. But doctors told her she had actually been pregnant for 38 weeks, her husband Michael Jaegers told news station 11 Alive. Then the couple learned she was also due to give birth.

“There are no words to describe the range of feelings associated with being told that you’re having a baby ? in 30 minutes,” he said.

Truth be told, I’m actually not a doctor. I don’t know all the science about having babies and all that shit. I do co-host a podcast on parenthood so I’m pretty sure that qualifies me as an expert.

How do you not know you are nine months pregnant? I know the link gives like 50 reasons why they didnt know but seriously. How do you not know that you are pregnant? How do you not feel a kick?

Are you just assuming that all those kicks are really bad gas or something? Like you think you have just had a huge fart that you are holding in for months at a time? Makes no sense.

How do you not notice the nipple changes? I think the nipples look different right? Gentlemen, focus on your lady’s nipples because the nipples are a deaaadddd giveaway. It could save you an embarrassing moment at the doctor when you think you are failing to piss the calcium oxalate build-up but it’s actually a baby that’s deep inside the vagina or where ever the baby hangs out. The nipples are key, imo. Should have said areolas because this was more of a science type of blog. Sorry about that.

If you know you have a baby on the way, listen to Podfathers. Hell, listen to it even if you know for sure it’s kidney stones.
