Two Dogs Stuck On The Side Of The Bishop Ford This Morning Was Just About The Worst Way To Start A Thursday (They're Ok)

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - If you were traveling on the Bishop Ford Thursday morning, you probably saw something a bit unusual.  Two dogs were seen running along the side of the highway neat 115th street around 6:30 a.m. At first, crews were unable to get the dogs to a safe place. So the dogs were seen patiently waiting on the side of the road.

State police said the dogs did not walk onto any of the freeway’s lanes and no lanes were closed because of the incident. But the story has a happy ending! Just before 6:45 a.m., crews were able to get the pups into the car and drive them to safety! Whew! Police later learned the dogs had wandered onto the shoulder from a nearby backyard, and the owner came to pick them up a short time later.

Well this is the scariest thing of all time. I don’t even know how this happens but holy shit if this doesn’t send a chill down your spine then you have either never owned a dog or have no soul. I will say this though, as bad as it is for anyone to visualize this happening to their dogs you have to love how casual these guys are. Just sitting on the side of a major highway, chilling out, waiting for their owner to show up so they can take a nap.

What’s everyone freaking out about? We’re just hanging out on this snow pile. Anyone got a treat?

And then mom shows up and they’re like oh shit, mom’s here, whats up mom, should we get in the car now? You see all those flashing lights? That was pretty cool.

Little upset my guy Corey McPherrin didn’t say he rescued the dogs by himself and his helicopter was shot down while doing so. Do you even news anchor bro?
