(Source) The Evergreen Park man who first accused Jackie Robinson West of cheating was arrested early Tuesday on misdemeanor charges after drunkenly attempting to enter a neighbor’s house by mistake. Janes, 39, was charged with disorderly conduct, assault, resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer, Evergreen Park police Capt. Pete Donovan said. Janes also was issued municipal citations for public intoxication and use of threatening and vulgar language in public, Donovan said.

At 1:09 a.m. Tuesday, a woman told police that after she pulled into her driveway a man who she didn’t recognize and was later identified as Janes chased her into her house, banged on her door, yelled obscenities and threatened her husband, Donovan said. Janes told DNAinfo.com that after having too much to drink he headed home but “went to the wrong house and scared some poor people.”

“I’m embarrassed. I feel awful. I’m very sorry to my neighbors that I scared. I didn’t know them and they don’t know me. I just had a conversation with my family about how foolish I am,” Janes said. “This is in no way a reflection of Evergreen Park Athletic Association Little League whatsoever. I hope people don’t bridge the two together.”

Chris, you had 1 job, one single job, and that was to keep your nose clean for the immediate future and you TOTALLY BLEW IT. That’s tattling 101. If you want to be a tattle tale you better make sure your house in order, no skeletons, no drunken escapades where you scare the neighborhood and try to enter a random house, none of it. Because the only thing worse than a tattle tale is a hypocrite tattle tale. Going on ESPN and every radio show in Chicago, puffing your chest out as a defender of the moral life and all that is good in the world only to get arrested a month later is a bad look my friend. And if we’re being perfectly fair here, I think this means JRW gets their National Title back. Fair is fair.

Don’t worry dude, no one will put the two together. No chance. I think you’re all set. I doubt anyone even mentions the whole whistleblowing thing. This was probably all a non story.
