(Source) Darien police and Panera Bread are investigating a Nov. 25 incident in which a 17-year-old found a nail baked into a chocolate chip cookie. According to the incident report, Panera, 1063 Boston Post Road, told the family that the cookies are delivered frozen to the stores, where they are baked. The victim told police that she didn’t believe the nail was placed into the cookie on purpose, according to the report.

The nail was between 1.5 and 2 inches long and its tip was broken off, police said. According to police, it appeared as though the nail wound up in the cookie during production. Seriously, I would kill to find a rusty nail, or a dead rat, or a AIDS band aid or basically anything in my food. That is a certified gold mine. Lawsuit city, population you.
