Rick Reilly Flew All The Way Out To Grinnell Iowa To See Jack Taylor Score 100+ Points Only To Have Him Score 3
Here in Grinnell, Iowa to see if Jack Taylor can hit his average of 90 points per game. Want airfare back if I don’t see 100.

Start your day off right. This is just tremendous. Jack Taylor, the kid who scored 138 points last November and had 109 the other night has essentially what is a pre-season schedule going on right now. Grinell basically loads up it’s November/December slate with YMCA castoffs so that they can break records. So Rick Reilly, thinking he would get the funniest coolest story about Jack Taylor ever, flew out to Grinell Iowa last night to see it in person. It was going to be one of those, if you combined Kobe and Lebron and Kevin Garnett’s total collegiate points scored they still would have been 120 points off what Jack Taylor did last night. A real hoot. He even started testing out a little material a few plays into the game.
AP news flash: Jack Taylor of Grinnell just made an assist.

AP News Flash, ZING!
And how many points did Jack Taylor score? 3. He scored THREE points. Absolutely perfect. Rick Reilly is like the guy at the casino that sees people cheering at a craps table, runs over, places a bet and instantly loses all of his money and skunks the table. I fucking love it. Just Reilly doing Reilly.
Jack Taylor has 3 points tonight here in Grinnell. Then again, he’s been doubled and tripled all game. Anybody got any other column ideas?
