President Obama Fires Back At Michael Jordan, Says He Would Be Good At Golf Too If He Played Twice A Day

(Source) President Obama is laughing off NBA great Michael Jordan’s description of his golf game as “shitty.” “Mike and I, we know each other but I’ve never played golf with him,” Obama told Wisconsin radio station WJMR in an interview Monday to rally voters to the polls. He noted that Jordan made the comment in an interview with Ahmad Rashad, whom the president said he had partnered with before on the golf course. Obama said he and Rashad twice beat former Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning. “Michael wasn’t very well informed about this, I think he might’ve just been trying to give Ahmad an extra ratings boost on his show,” Obama continued. 

“But there is no doubt that Michael is a better golfer than I am. Of course if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case. “He might want to spend more time thinking about the Bobcats — or the Hornets,” Obama added. Jordan owns Charlotte’s perpetually woeful NBA franchise. Obama went on to say that he loved for Jordan for the championships he won with the Chicago Bulls. In his interview, Jordan told Rashad he wouldn’t include the president in a dream golf foursome, but would play him. “I’ve never played with Obama, but I would,” Jordan said. “But — nah, that’s OK. I’ll take him out. He’s a hack. Man, I’d be all day playing with him.” “Do you really want to say that?,” Rashad replied. “The president of the United States is a hack?” “Don’t worry about it,” Jordan shot back with a grin. “I never said he’s wasn’t a great politician, I just said he’s a shitty golfer.”

Of course if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case.

You weren’t playing twice a day Mr. President? Fooled me. Vacations to Hawaii and 36 holes a day, anyone with a brain knows that’s what this President has done.

I will say this, I think what Obama is doing is a little old trick I like to call “lying to myself”. For instance, every time I go to the grocery store I will eat all the free samples in the place. Basically consume what amounts to a meal and a half of chips and dip and whatever else they’re giving out for free. Then later in the day I’ll tell myself “Man, I haven’t had anything to eat all day, I’m starving” which is a lie, but also sort of the truth because I never sat down and ate a meal. I think that’s what Obama means when he says he doesn’t golf every day. Technically he doesn’t golf every day but come on, he golfs every day.
