How about the resurgence of Phil Rivers as a likeable semi cool guy? (except for the fact that he has like 7 billion children and is kind of crazy). Remember 2 years ago when everyone had basically buried his career? He and Norv Turner, window closed, just an old shitty quarterback who throws a million intereceptions. Well in walks a new head coach, a little bolo tie magic, the best lateral attempt in the history of the league

and bam, I think I like Philip Rivers. I mean if you’re a fan of the Chargers you probably don’t like seeing your franchise quarterback playing some 12 inch during the week but anyone else has to respect this. Phil Rivers will show up to your park, wear a fake mullet, hit a few homers, drink a couple buds, pack a huge lip and have a couple laughs. That’s what summer softball is about, Rivers gets it.
