And this is why you can’t have nerds making social apps. In theory, great idea. You get to see the reaction your text messages illicit. Probably thought it would be all brunch invites and fun responses of smiling faces and happiness. No. That’s not reality. Reality is dick pics where the chick is wildly underwhelmed. Or asking friends to hang out only to a completely non plussed facial reaction. That’s reality. I text people specifically to avoid real human interaction. Tone, awkward pauses, eye rolling, those are all the things that make text messages so great. I don’t talk on the phone either because that’s way too much human as well. 2015 is beautiful because if you want to avoid real interaction you can easily do so. So good one nerds, your little social media utopia where everyone is young and good looking and fun doesn’t exist. This app catches on and everyone in my life will quickly realize I respond to the majority of my text messages while taking a shit on the toilet. No one needs that.
