First of all, could you imagine having the thrill of throwing out the first pitch at a Major League Baseball stadium and then on top of all that having it be your dad behind the plate who you haven’t seen in a year? I don’t think it’s possible to get better than that.

Second, I love this new trend. Just keep pushing the envelope with military homecomings. It used to be just a video of a family at an airport, now it’s elaborate schemes and over the top surprises. It’s the one thing that will never jump the shark for me. I want people popping out of cakes, skydiving into stadiums, actually playing catcher during a real major league game, the works. The bigger the surprise the better in my opinion. Need more of it. Have to have it.
