Has This Been The Most Boring World Series That Went The Distance Of All Time?
So tonight is Game 7. Awesome. There is nothing in sports better than a Game 7. As a fan it’s why you watch, for that special moment when an entire season comes down to one single game. I’m genuinely excited for tonight’s game. But if we’re being totally honest this series up until this point has been so blah. And this isn’t me being a hater or only caring about Chicago sports. Everyone knows me long enough that I will watch any type of sports. I love moments, I love all the major sports, I’ll sit down and watch any game basically at any time. But this series has been so boring. I’ve got no juice going into tonight. I can’t get myself pumped because I’m just expecting it to be more of the same. 7 Game championship series aren’t supposed to be like that. The biggest story so far has been Marlins Man. Just think about that, a doofus in an orange get up has basically highjacked the World Series. Just look at the games.
Game 1
Over 10 minutes into the game. 3 runs in the first for Madison Bumgarner and MLB should have skipped to the next day. Total blah.
Game 2
Closer game but again over before the end. Bochy trying to get one more inning out of Peavy resulting in KC’s 6th inning was all she wrote for this game.
Game 3.
Full disclosure, I was drunk for this game on Friday night. Probably why I haven’t had one significant memory from this World Series yet.
Game 4.
Exciting because of runs but again, halfway through the game and it 7-4 and essentially over.
Game 5.
Bumgarner again. Love watching great pitchers but it’s like KC doesn’t even have a chance when he’s out there.
Game 6.
Turned it off 20 minutes in.

So that’s a single one run game, a game decided by the 6th, 2 blow outs and 2 Bumgarner starts that the Royals never had a chance. For as good as these playoffs have been, this World Series has been that bad and boring. If I were a teacher I would give it a D+ thus far. Sweeps suck, series that go the distance are supposed to be memorable, time to make up for it with an extra inning classic tonight guys.
Also Over 7 is the play tonight. Only way that doesn’t hit is if Bumgarner comes in in the second and shuts everything down for the rest of the game. Lock it up.
