Feminists In An Uproar Over Norwegian MILF Posting A Hot Selfie 4 Days After Giving Birth

(Source) Is the postpregnancy body the new weapon of choice among superfit women? Yes, charge critics of Norwegian soccer wife and fitness blogger Caroline Berg Eriksen, who posted a flat-stomach, bra-and-panties selfie to her 245,000 Instagram followers just four days after giving birth. “This is not a selfie. This is an act of war,” writes one Australian blogger in response to the image — just one of many blogs, news outlets, body image experts, and social-media commenters around the world to weigh in on the matter in the past few days, putting the photo at the center of a major online body image controversy. “This whole situation has become ludicrous. The competition for women to give birth and then immediately remove any trace from their their bodies that they ever carried a child is OBSCENE. There is no other word for it.” Another blogger calls the photo of Eriksen, who is married to pro soccer player Lars-Kristian Eriksen, “wildly provocative.”

Eriksen posted the photo of herself on Instagram, along with the caption, “I feel so empty…4 days after birth,” igniting the online backlash. Twitter users called Eriksen and her washboard abs “intimidating,” “unhelpful,” “obviously a freak,” and “unfair to all women.” Australian Telegraph writer Sarrah Le Marquand offers a mixed review of the situation, tweeting that yes, Eriksen is a “shameless exhibitionist,” but warning in her column that “slamming the super-fit and genetically freakish likes of Berg Eriksen is merely another form of judgment and mothers are forced to contend with far too much of that already.”

Pretty sound strategy by the feminists here. If they can’t lose their pregnancy weight then no one can. Classic take your ball and go home. Wah wah wah, stop being hot Caroline Berg Eriksen, stop showing off your awesome genetics and crazy good looks. You’re not allowed to take a single selfie until I stop eating deep dish and pickles and ice cream all day. That’s essentially what they’re saying. Well here’s an idea ladies, instead of calling it an act of war why don’t you just worry about yourself. It’s an instagram picture for christ sakes. YOU brought attention to it. Not Caroline, you did, you put her on display and made it a big deal. It’s not like she came to your house and fucked your husband. Just ignore it. Not to mention anyone with half a brain realizes that this chick is clearly a freak of nature. She’s an exception to the rule. It would be like me getting angry at Blake Griffin for throwing down a windmill dunk because it’s so unfair to all men out there and it’s an act of war on our image as athletes. Or me getting angry at Warren Buffet for having too much money. Here’s a news flash idiots. There will always be people in the world who are better looking, richer, smarter, and all around cooler than you. You want to pretend it doesn’t exist then you’re a complete simpleton. And how about instead of sitting on twitter and writing long form responses to a woman showing off her body you use that time and go to the gym, maybe do a few crunches and push ups. Or would that just make way too much sense?

Also, not for nothing but being intimidated by someone’s abs is such a fucking cop out. If I was intimidated by everyone who had better abs than me I would be living my life under my bed cowering in fear. Grow up.

PS

Is it crazy that I think I like her more as a brunette than a blonde?
