Is this a Derrick Rose blog that has absolutely no mention of injury or leg problems? You bet your fucking ass it is (I guess technically that was a mention, whatever). If you haven’t been watching, Derrick Rose is back. How do I know? Well for one thing numbers. Last night he scored 25, 10 pts in the 4th quarter against one of the best teams in the East and John Wall. The night before? 29 with 15 pts in the 4th against another one of the best teams in the East and Kyle Lowry. But more than numbers it’s the eye test. His aggressiveness, his burst, his ability to get to the rim in a split second, leaving the Defense with their hands in their pockets. It’s all there. He’s back. The team we’ve watched the last 2 years, where it was a life and death struggle to score points in the 4th quarter, it’s gone. Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose, 2 big guys that can shoot and stretch the floor in Pau and Mirotic and a bench that is deeper than the Bench Mob days, it’s all there. I’m going to stay cautious, because I know, I know, but I’m telling you right now, the Bulls are the best team in the East and Derrick Rose is back. Derrick Rose just got his swagger back.
