90 Year Old Florida Man Trapped In Car For 4 Days, Survives On Nothing But Cookies And Cakes

(Source) Neighbors John Collins and Carl Frantz tell CBS affiliate WTSP-TV that Justyn Ambrozia was unable to get out of his car after sustaining injuries in a fall at a grocery store.

“There was something on the floor that he tripped on,” Collins told WTSP. “He says he grabbed for the shelf and the shelf let loose, and when he went to the floor he broke his arm. He broke his hip.”

Frantz was upset that he didn’t help Ambrozia sooner.

“I always watched out for him and then, when something happened, I wasn’t there to help him,” Frantz told WTSP.

Collins went on to say that the store helped Ambrozia out of the store but did not call paramedics to help the eldery man.

“Put him in the car with his groceries,” Collins told WTSP. “They should have called. They shouldn’t have touched him.”

Ambrozia managed to drive himself home, but once he parked his car in the garage he was not able to get out.

The Tampa Bay Times reports three days went by before anyone noticed anything until a neighbor and his dog sensed something was wrong.

Tim Weidman saw Ambrozia’s hand waving as he walked by on Thursday afternoon and called for help, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Ambrozia was rushed to Medical Center for Trinity for his hip.

“When they picked him up and put him on the gurney, he was scrunched all up in a knot,” Frantz told the station.

Ambrozia is currently recovering from his injuries. The store where the fall took place did not comment.

So umm, where can I sign up for this? I mean I get that Justyn (nice spelling guy) almost died here but let’s be honest, I would LOVE to be trapped in my car for 4 days eating nothing but cookies and cakes. That sounds like vacation. Just be alone, by yourself, no one to bother you, no work, no stress, eating fig newtons and sleeping on your nice plush fabric seats. Maybe even one of those evergreen tree car fresheners to add a little ambience. Not even joking, if someone made this a Groupon I would buy it in a second. Vacationing with friends and girlfriends and family is SO overrated. You always have to do things you don’t want to do, talk to people you don’t want to talk to, give me an Avalon, a few boxes of cookies and let me get my mind rest on.

PS
The problem I have with this is that I usually eat half of my groceries in the car ride home. I don’t know about you guys but I’m usually good for a full bag of chips and a few cookies on the 4 minute ride. What’s the point in driving to the store if you can’t crush snacks on the drive home right?
