Veep Had One Of The Funniest Lines In Television History Last Night

“How am I doing? Eating so much pussy I’m shitting clits, son.”

If that’s not the funniest line in television history, then whatever’s better isn’t coming to mind at the moment. I watched Veep at around 1 AM last night and I still haven’t stopped laughing at it. I’ll be doing something mundane then randomly be taken over by uncontrollable giggles, like a third grader who just heard his classmate fart. I’ll try and put it in the back of my mind and focus on the task at hand, but I can’t help myself. It’s as funny as funny gets. So vulgar, so graphic, but so goddamn funny.

Kevin and I were just talking about Veep as a whole, and I don’t think it’s unfair to argue it’s the funniest show on television right now. I don’t agree with you, but I don’t think it’s unfair and I won’t kick you out of bed over it. For me, It’s Always Sunny is still the funniest thing on television, perhaps even the funniest thing ever on television, but Veep is so consistently excellent I’d be a fool to outright deny arguments. Julia Louis Dreyfus is amazing. Tony Hale is amazing. Timothy Simons is, as you can see, amazing. Everything about it, particularly the witty writing, is so above and beyond pretty much everything else on television right now. It’s still very slept on and I’m not sure why, but if you’re not watching Veep every Sunday you’re doing yourself quite the disservice.
