YourEDM - As if you needed another reason to be disappointed by UMass’ incredibly unfortunate decision to cancel all the EDM shows on their campus, it turns out they have a concert scheduled at the same venue that was supposed to host the Above & Beyond and Pretty Lights shows with none other than Mr. “Popped A Molly I’m Sweating” Trinidad James. For an administration so “concerned” about the “Molly Taking Culture” on its campus, it’s comically hypocritical that they’re hosting an event with Molly’s biggest spokesman; this just goes to show how out of touch the administration at UMass really is.

This is too perfect. Just too perfect. Umass cancels all EDM shows at Mullins Center because of Molly and then books a rapper who is famous for singing about the virtues of taking Molly. I mean you can’t make this shit up. Well played Umass. Like I knew the Umass administration were idiots, but even I didn’t know they were this stupid.

My only question is why does any of this surprise people? Umass has a long and storied history of being Nazis. This is what happens when school administrators have complete and ultimate authority. When making money doesn’t matter. When you exist using taxpayers dollars. It doesn’t matter what the students think. It doesn’t matter what commons sense says. Obviously Umass should be more concerned with teaching kids how to be responsible and make educated decisions for themselves, rather than treating them like infants.  But this is Umass we’re talking about.  They banned Barstool from doing concerts because they don’t like the jokes on our website. So what did people think would happen when the promoters of their EDM shows at Umass were the same promoters who had 2 deaths at an HOB show and got Ocean Club shut down for Molly use. Obviously they were gonna shut it down. It’s like that old Holocaust quote.

First they came for the Hobart Hoedown, and I didn’t speak out because I didn’t live in Hobart Lane.

Then they came for the Barstool, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a bro.

Then they came for EDM, and I didn’t speak out because I don’t like EDM Music.

Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.
