(TD Garden) — Officials from Delaware North, Boston Properties, the City of Boston, the state of Massachusetts and over 200 community members celebrated the official groundbreaking of ‘The Hub on Causeway’ development at a ceremony today on the site of the former Boston Garden on Causeway Street. Delaware North and Boston Properties have formed a partnership to develop over 1.5 million square feet of mixed-use retail, office, hotel, residential and an expansion of TD Garden on the 2.5 acre site. This transit-oriented development is a significant investment that will bring substantial improvements to North Station, will create major economic impact for the area and strengthen the viability of this important district in the City of Boston.

I was just 8 year old when the Celtics and Bruins moved into the then FleetCenter after two years of construction in 1995. It was a weird feeling then, given the history of the original Garden and all. But, much like Nate over on DMV, I too get a raging Scalabrine whenever new arena renderings come out. This new entrance to the Garden looks incredible.

The new concourses and Top 3 stadium food have taken care of the inside, so now it’s time for the outside. In reading about this one little tidbit stood out to me

Just saying, maybe it’s time to rethink this whole NY thing…

P.S. Writing this blog made me think of the greatest moments in TD Garden history…there is only one choice. Chills even to this day
