The Preseason Is Finally Over!

Football season in New England has finally arrived! Because while the rest of the NFL considers it a successful season just if they make the playoffs here in New England we play by a different set of rules.  Here making the playoffs is a given.  Winning the AFC East is our birthright.  We earn a 1st round bye just rolling out of bed.   Nope here the only thing that matters is hoisting the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year.  I don’t care about the injuries.  I don’t care about anything.  Anything less than Superbowl #4 is a lost season and gigantic waste of time.  We’re not like these other cities and teams that puke all over each other just trying to earn a playoff birth.  We’re not like the Jets that give Gatorade showers to 8-8 coaches.  We’re not like the Chargers who can’t beat a team of 3rd stringers.  We’re not like Peyton Manning who plays for MVP awards and Pro Bowl games.    The Patriots only play to win championships.  That’s it.  That’s all that matters.   That’s what happens when you’ve dominated the league for 13 straight seasons like no team in the history of the league.  It’s Superbowl or bust every year and I wouldn’t have it any other way.   Let’s go Pats!
