On Episode 73 of the Section 10 Podcast, the Bryce Brentz Episode, we’ve got Rob Bradford of WEEI.com. As usual, the topics are all over the place. We start with actual baseball talk, and we discuss how miserable it is to come up with interesting stories during spring training, how Pablo Sandoval looks in the early going and why he won’t just give up switch-hitting if he sucks at it, how Rob would order the Red Sox starters in the rotation, the actual chances of a David Ortiz return, the Evan Drellich versus Kirk Minihane battle from yesterday morning, the difficulty of having a good relationship with a player knowing that you have to rip them if necessary, and a story about the time that Terry Francona flipped out on him.

We also discuss a disagreement that Rob and I had over a #MakeRedSoxMediaGreatAgain tweet that I sent out last year, why it’s annoying that beat guys think that you can’t be a fan of the team that you cover, appreciation for Felger’s craft, which sports radio show in Boston Bradford would rather listen to commercials than that show, his reaction to Sean McAdam’s contract not being renewed and what that says about the state of sports media in this market, and we hit a few Twitter questions, as well.

That’s just the Bradford part. Outside of that, I talk about my experience visiting Barstool HQ for the first time this past Tuesday, which led to a conversation about DM-sliding, Colby Rasmus growing a disgusting pube beard just for team photo day, Mookie Betts electrifying New England in the celebrity bowling tourney, and we bang out some DM questions.

Leave your Red Sox reactions throughout the week on our voicemail, and they could be used at the end of the show: 781-366-0950.
