Smokeshow City Comes In 2nd In His Debut

So I’m flying cross country back to Boston today after watching “The People’s Horse” come in 2nd in the first race of his life.   Horse Racing experts are telling me I should be happy with race.   That it was a very solid debut, blah, blah blah.  I’m sure it was but I when you fly 12 hours in 2 days to get a winners circle photo you can’t help but be disappointed.     But I will say I’m hooked on the rush and would take a bullet for Smokeshow.  He’s still my guy even though he came in 2nd.

And yes I’m fully convinced God was mocking me by having Smokeshow City lose to a less attractive grey.   Just rubbing my nose in the dirt.  Too bad it wasn’t a beauty pageant.
