Rate This Gronk Dance from "Whose Line is it Anyway?"

As much as I was happy to see Gronk take another step on his path to world domination last night, I have to say overall I’m a little disappointed in his “Whose Line is it Anyway?” appearance.  Not that he isn’t a fabulous entertainer.  Just look at the way he owns the crowd from the minute he walks out from back stage.  An instant connection.  And a presence like that comes from the kind of charisma you can’t teach.  No, I’m not disappointed in Gronk at all, but the way they used him.   I mean, dancing?  Doing boob jokes?  C’mon.  He’s too gifted a comic to be doing broad, physical comedy.  And too clever and witty to be working blue.  Let’s not forget, I’ve worked with this guy and there’s no denying his talent.  You’ve got to know how to get the most out of him.  You didn’t see me limiting him to dancing around and making obvious jokes about his tight end and loose caboose or whatever.  Hopefully by the time Gronk is hosting SNL and getting his own talk show he’ll be working with people who know how to make him shine.

But that’s not to say he’s not an incredible dancer either.  You’d have to look to maybe Timberlake as the only guy who can do comedy and shake it the way he can.  I’ve got two weddings between now and next St. Patrick’s Day, and if the brides and grooms think I’m not doing a perfectly choreographed Gronk Dance at each of them, they’ve got another thing coming.  I’ll let you guys vote but on his inevitable “Dancing With the Stars” appearance, this is “10s” across the board. @JerryThornton1
