Damn Hill, back at it again with the emails! The latest with Hillary’s email situation is nearly 15,000 previously deleted emails that hit stores yesterday. Among them, more bad/sketchy stuff for the former Secretary of State. The premise being that she and Bill used her status within the Obama administration to exchange favors for donations to the Clinton Foundation (and other monetary exchanges). A couple examples, from Wash Post:
1) A sports executive who was a major donor to the Clinton Foundation and whose firm paid Bill Clinton millions of dollars in consulting fees wanted help getting a visa for a British soccer player with a criminal past.
2) The crown prince of Bahrain, whose government gave more than $50,000 to the Clintons’ charity and who participated in its glitzy annual conference, wanted a last-minute meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
3) U2 rocker and philanthropist Bono, also a regular at foundation events, wanted high-level help broadcasting a live link to the International Space Station during concerts.
Hillary and Bill adamantly deny this, but thousands of deleted emails showing clear connections to millions in donations tied to communication to the Hillary camp and the Clinton Foundation don’t look so good. The Post writes:
The release of the correspondence follows previous disclosures of internal emails showing a similar pattern of access for foundation contributors, and it comes as Republicans allege that Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, used her perch in the Obama administration to trade favors for donations. Clinton and the foundation have vigorously denied the charge.
Look, at this point you should know the drill with the Clinton Machine. Of course Hill + Bill were trading favors for donations. Of course they used their global network of powerful friends to connect all possible pieces of their puzzle. Of course they used their internationally influential posts to move money and position themselves to takeover the most powerful role on earth. It’s the Clinton Machine — we’ve watched it for dozens of years; you’re an idiot if you’re surprised by it.
And as much as we shit on them, as much as we call out their sketchiness, their untrustworthiness, their commitment to pandering and bending the truth in order to get elected, they’re winning! They’re months away from the White House. They’re getting exactly what they’ve wanted. It’s all working out for them.
So, really, who’s at fault here? Who’s to blame?
