Mike Legg, The Guy Who Scored THE Michigan Goal, Doing It Again From The Opposite End Of The Ice Is Just Silly

Everyone’s seen that goal. Everyone’s seen it 500 times. With the exception of Eruzione in 80 and Bobby Orr with The Dive, it’s probably the most famous goal in hockey history. It won an ESPY, it got a nickname, and kids across America used to spend entire fucking practices trying to emulate that move. Just standing in the corners, fumbling around with the puck and trying to get it on our blade hoping one day we’d be fortunate enough to bury a lacrosse style goal from behind the net. It was the very definition of a legendary goal.

Well. Last night Michigan hockey had a little reunion for the 96 team and Mike Legg had the fucking audacity to pull this shit.

Bananas shot. Kind of insulting, tbh. You see people struggle with the goal-o so much in between periods that for Legg to go out there and make a mockery of the whole thing is kinda rude if we’re all keeping it real here. I mean it’s amazingly awesome, don’t get me wrong, but still kinda rude.
