Laser Cat Yearbook Photo Controversy Ripping Schenectady High School Apart

SCHENECTADY – A Schenectady high school senior will get to appear in the yearbook with his cat, but it won’t be the senior photo Draven Rodriguez wanted.Rodriguez’s photo of him and his cat with a laser background went viral after he petitioned online for the school to use it. Instead, he and his cat will appear in a photo with the school principal and her dog. It will go on the principal’s page in the yearbook. The page will support animal rescue and adoption.

Maybe my favorite part of this story was reading the comment section below the article.  Just a full scale debate about whether this decision was fair.  People legit arguing back and forth about this kid and his laser cat.   Personally I agree with the Principal for two reasons.  First fuck this kid trying to be super different.  Like if you let this kid do this then pretty soon it’s anarchy in the yearbook section.  Everybody trying to outdo each other.  But that’s not the real reason I’m against it.  It’s more that Cats are sneaky two timing bastards.  You let one cat into the yearbook photo and pretty soon the entire school will be over run with cat photos.  Next thing you know it will be cats in the photos without humans.   And you think a cat principal will let a cat take a picture with a person?  No chance.  This is just the break scumbag cats are looking for.   At least if you include a dog, the dog can make sure the cat doesn’t do anything sneaky and keep everything on the up and up.
