Is This The Face Of A Guy Who Pretended To Be An Actor From Twilight, Visited High Schools And Signed Autographs So He Could Have Access To Young Iowa Girls?

Daily Mail- A California man accused of posing as an actor from the Twilight movie saga to lure young girls from Iowa has been hit with a slew of new charges in Iowa including sexual abuse. The Newton Police Department and Jasper County Sheriff’s Office say 33-year-old David LaVera faces multiple counts in connection with incidents involving minors. The charges include third-degree sexual abuse, sexual exploitation of a minor and invasion of privacy. Authorities say LaVera performed a sex act on a 14-year-old girl. According to court documents, the 33-year-old admitted to police that he touched the teen on her private parts. He is also accused of using a smartphone to record a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old taking a shower and using the bathroom. The lewd videos were then uploaded onto LaVera’s laptop, the complaints said. Court documents allege that the 33-year-old pretender reached out to a 14-year-old girl on Facebook, telling her he was a Twilight star and asking her to meet him at Berg Junior High and Maytag Park, The Des Moines Register reported.  In one message, the suspect instructed the girl not to wear underwear to their meeting, the complaint revealed. Posing as an actor, LaVera gained access to teenage girls by visiting two schools in Newton, where he signed autographs, posed for photos with students and performed martial arts tricks in the cafeteria.

First things first, this is a super fucked up move by this guy.  Pretending to be somebody he’s not so he can get access to young girls is about as bad as it gets.  Guys is clearly a scumbag.  But even with that said, come one people, he looks NOTHING like the actor he’s pretending to be.  Be smarter than that.  I never saw the Twilight movies so I had to Google the actor they’re talking about and it’s to even close to a match.  Apparently if there’s one thing Iowa girls have trouble spotting it’s a celebrity but I do know Iowa girls go crazy for celebrities.  One time in high school Josh Hartnett showed up outta the blue at our school and every girl basically melted into the floor.  It might’ve even moved for me but he’s a heart throb so it’s expected.  But it was the real Josh Hartnett so it made sense why people lost their minds.  We look like idiots here with this Kiowa Gordon impersonator.  It’d be one thing if the actor’s body double who looked exactly like him started showing up at Iowa high schools signing autographs and being an all around weirdo.  Fine, but this guy?  Looks nothing like him.  It’d be like me showing up somewhere, telling everybody I’m Ryan Gosling and people freaking the fuck out because OMG Ryan Gosling is here.  Again, shitty situation that these girls got tricked but we gotta be better next time.
