Listen I don’t like to throw around the word hero especially when talking about myself, but there is flat out no other way to describe what happened here. If I don’t step up to the plate and help this old man cross the street he is probably still standing there right now. Hell he’s probably dead by now. Those are just straight facts. No other way to describe it. I went in to make fun of him and pivoted to saving his life in a heartbeat. That’s what I do. I can always separate making content for the blog and real danger. I transformed from El Presidente to Dave “hero ball” Portnoy in the blink of an eye and everybody saw it. That’s what keeps the Go Pres Go crowd going. It’s Salt of the Earth moves like these. Like what did your favorite Internet personality do today? Because the Go Pres Go crowd can say their guy saved a life before the stock market even opened today. That’s not me bragging.
