I Can Fuck With The Narragansett Jaws Can

PROVIDENCE – Narragansett Beer will be available this month in retro cans, like the one famously crushed by Captain Quint in the movie “Jaws,” the Boston Business Journal reported. The special can release is timed to coincide with Discovery Channel’s annual “Shark Week” series, which started Sunday, Aug. 4, and actor Robert Shaw’s birthday, Aug. 9.

Here’s one thing about me, I’m an easy sell. Anything that catches my eye, I’ll buy. Like people complain about beer companies getting too gimmicky? They complain about Lime beers and Vortex tops and Keg cans? Not me. The second those come out I’ll buy a case even if I hate the beer. I’ll explain to people how it scientifically makes the beer better like I’m trying to win a blue ribbon at the 3rd grade science fair. And these? Well they’re better because you can sit on your porch, recite Quint lines then crush the can in your hand. That makes a beer better, scientifically speaking.
